The AAA does not plug flat tires. They will install your spare tire. They can also inflate your tire and use a tire inflator kit. 

It comes with the vehicle, and they can also tow you to a tire repair shop. However, they will never repair a tire as part of roadside assistance. It might work if you slip them some cash, and they might install a plug for you, but this is not within the rules. 

It is also not recommended because the plugs can make the damage to the tire worse. The exterior string-type tire plugs are not approved for tire repair. 

Will AAA Come To Plug A Tire?

You can plug a minor leak. It can also run for a few thousand miles, but if you mean plugging your tire on location, then no. AAA does not offer that service, and it is not included in the services that they offer. 

This is more of a liability to the AAA. If they will plug your tire and the tire will blow while you are driving, they can be liable. But if they tow your vehicle to the nearest repair shop and do patches or plugs on your tire, that is good. 

How Much Does It Cost To Plug Up A Tire With AAA?

AAA can give you a different variety of services. They can also help you with many types of service requests. 

For example, if your tire needs a patch or a plug, the AAA will tow your vehicle to the nearest repair location or where you will prefer. Many companies and auto stores have charged approximately twenty-five dollars ($25) for the tire patch and the rebalance. 

Does AAA Plus Cover Plugging Tires?

Suppose you mean plugging your tires on location, then no. AAA does not offer the service of plugging tires. This is more of a liability to the AAA. 

If they will plug your tire and the tire will blow while you are driving, they can be liable. But if they tow your vehicle to the nearest repair shop and do patches or plugs on your tire, that is good. They can also install a completely new tire, but it will depend on your tire’s condition. 

You have to note also that AAA can only tow your vehicle with the number of miles mentioned in your membership. The future miles and the excess miles will be charged. 

So if you have a basic membership of AAA, you are only allowed seven miles of free towing. They’ll not be able to tow you further than that. You will have to pay for it.
