After January 1, 1975, the vehicles manufactured must not exceed eighty-three decibels. Always check with local county laws in Florida so that you can make sure that they are following any municipal noise ordinances. 

2. Frame and Suspension

Florida does not put restrictions on the frame height or the suspension lift limit on vehicles if the bumper height does not exceed the following bumper height specifications based on the Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR). Vehicles under 2,000 GVRW have a maximum front bumper height of twenty-four inches and a maximum back bumper of twenty-six inches. 

3. Lighting and Windows

Red or blue lights are permitted on emergency vehicles, and the flashing lights on passenger vehicles are only limited to turn signals. However, the two fog lamps are permitted, and the two spotlights are permitted.

4. Window Tinting

The non-reflective tint is allowed on the windshield above the AS-1 line given by the vehicle manufacturer. The front side window tint should allow greater than twenty-eight percent of light. The backside windows must allow more than fifteen percent light. 

The reflective tints on the front and the back side windows cannot be more than twenty-five percent reflective. The side mirrors are required if the rear windows are tinted. The sticker carrying legal tint levels is required on the driver’s door jamb that the DMV provides.
