A specific unit must receive a CARB executive order or EO number. And this is something that manufacturers of this aftermarket equipment will have to provide for each unit they will sell.  

List Of Legal Cold Air Intakes In Georgia

Unfortunately, there is no list of cold air intakes in Georgia. The intake system is legal for street use in most states, but it is not legal in the streets of Georgia.

Can Cold Air Intakes Be Shipped To Georgia?

1. Sounds and Noises

Georgia requires all the cars to follow the specific sound requirements to ensure that they are not significantly loud if it is on the roadways. Therefore, these regulations will include both the muffler and the sound system.

2. Sound System

There are no specified decibel levels on this, but the sound system must not be considered a nuisance that will cause inconvenience, damage, or hurt another individual. 

3. Muffler

The muffles are required to work correctly, and the flexible pipes are only allowed if they will be used by the manufacturer of the vehicle or on diesel tractors. In addition, the mufflers must extend beyond the outside or the rear of the vehicle, and mufflers are not allied with excessive or annoying sounds.

4. Frame and Suspension

Georgia has plenty of restrictions on the farm and the lift heights. The vehicles must not exceed thirteen feet and six inches in height. In addition, the suspension lift kits cannot exceed two inches. 

The vehicles of four thousand five hundred pounds and under have a maximum frame height of twenty-seven inches. The vehicles between 4,501 and 7,500 pounds have a maximum frame height of thirty inches. The vehicles between 7,501 and 14,000 have a maximum frame height of thirty-one inches.

5. Engine

Georgia has thirteen countries, and they require emission testing./nitrous oxide is not allowed.

6. Lighting and Windows

Blue lights are not allowed on passenger vehicles. Using a blue light on a non-emergency vehicle is considered a felony. 

It is also punishable by up to one year in prison and a fine of $1,000. However, two fog lamps are permitted, and one spotlight is also permitted.

7. Window Tinting

The tint is not permitted on the windshield unless you have a medical exemption. In addition, the back and the back side windows are not allowed more than 32% of light to pass through.
